When you use MatchTwin, we collect information you provide directly:
- Account information (name, email, password)
- Profile data (age, location, job title, bio)
- Questionnaire responses (intake and refinement answers)
- Messages sent through the chat feature
- Match decisions (accept, reject)
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your account
- To generate AI-powered compatibility matches
- To create and operate your digital Twin for matching conversations
- To provide AI Oracle coaching insights based on your match data
- To improve our matching algorithms and service quality
- To communicate service updates and relevant notifications
3. AI-Generated Content
MatchTwin uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude) to generate Twin conversations, match compatibility analyses, and Oracle coaching insights. Your questionnaire responses and profile data are sent to AI services to generate this content. AI-generated conversations and insights are stored in our database and associated with your account. AI responses are generated content and should not be taken as professional advice.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored using Supabase (hosted on AWS) with the following practices:
- Authentication tokens are stored in your browser's localStorage
- Some UI preferences are cached in localStorage for performance
- All core data (profile, responses, matches, messages) is stored server-side
- We use row-level security policies to protect your data from other users
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — database and authentication hosting
- Anthropic — AI conversation and insight generation (questionnaire responses and profile data)
- Vercel — application hosting
6. Your Rights
- Access: You can view all your data through your profile and settings
- Correction: You can update your profile information at any time
- Deletion: You can delete your account from Settings, which removes your profile, matches, and messages
- Data portability: Contact us to request an export of your data
7. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use tracking cookies. We use browser localStorage to store your authentication session and UI preferences (notification settings, questionnaire progress). This data stays on your device and is not sent to third-party analytics services.
8. Age Requirement
MatchTwin is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected data from a minor, we will delete that information promptly.
